Our New Parking Lot Is Ready!

Dear Veneta Elementary Families,
Our new parking lot is ready, and it looks beautiful! We are very excited for our families to see it.
I want to give a huge thank you to our entire community for supporting the bond that made this project possible. This new parking area would not have happened without the support of our community, and we are incredibly grateful!
As we begin the school year, here are a few things to know about parking:

• The new parking area where the old house used to be will primarily be used for staff parking.
• In front of the school, there are four accessible parking spaces, along with additional parking spaces for families and visitors.
• There may be a few spaces available in the staff parking area before and after school. Families may use these when available, but please be aware that exiting this area may be more difficult during busy arrival and dismissal times.
• I recommend trying the main parking area in front of the school first.
• Please take a little extra time during the first few days to become familiar with the new parking lot and traffic flow. We will all be learning the new setup together!

We appreciate everyone being patient and careful as families, buses, staff, and students adjust to the new parking areas.
We are so excited to welcome everyone back on Tuesday, September 8!
Kindergarten families: Remember that kindergarten students will have their scheduled soft-start day on Tuesday(9/8), Wednesday(9/9), or Thursday(9/10). Kindergarten students will begin their regular full-week schedule on Monday, September 14.
Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend! We can't wait to see our Cougars back at Veneta Elementary on Tuesday!
