Why Are Immunization Records Posted on Our School Website?

VES Families,
Each year, Veneta Elementary posts our school’s immunization information on the school website. We want families to understand why this information is shared.
Oregon schools are required to make annual immunization information available to families. The information posted shows the overall immunization rates for our school and helps families understand how well our school community is protected from vaccine-preventable illnesses.
Individual student names or personal immunization records are NOT posted. The information is reported as schoolwide data to protect student privacy.
Posting this information each year helps us:

• Meet Oregon school immunization requirements.
• Keep families informed about immunization rates at VES.
• Promote awareness of student and community health.
• Provide families with easy access to required school health information.
